Facts

Created in 2003 by Alex David (composer, vocalist, producer) and Pavel Baranovsky (lyrics author, producer).

The initial stage line-up: Alex David (vocals), Di’Mitr (vocals, guitar).

The first single: “Behind The Destiny”. Released in December, 2003. The single immediately rockets to the top positions in national radio charts.

The second radio-single by ATLANTICA, “Strangers” (released in February, 2004) repeated the success of it’s’ predecessor.

June, 2004
ATLANTICA is signed by “West Records”, the leading Belarusian major-label. Shortly after, ATLANTICA’s first self-titled mini-album followed.

Fall, 2004
ATLANTICA, being among the leading pop-acts in their home country, gains international recognition due to cooperation with RADIO VENTURES Inc. (USA), one of the biggest music distribution networks. Since then, ATLANTICA has been broadcast by dozens of radio-stations all over the globe, including BBC1.

December, 2004
In the national “Song of the Year” project, “Behind the Destiny” is voted second best, getting support from over 200000 Belarusians.

February, 2005
ATLANTICA releases their first long-play album “Heavenly”. In the first 7 days of sales the album climbed to the first position in the Belarus Album Sale Chart and remained there for 8 weeks.

March, 2005
The song “Real Love” is voted best in the National “Song of the Year” project.

December, 2005
ATLANTICA’s single “Heart and Mind (L.O.V.E.)” enters European Radio Chart at number 84.

February, 2006
At the National Music Sale Award ceremony ATLANTICA wins the second prize for “Best Selling Artist”.

Spring, 2006
ATLANTICA sees changes to its stage line-up. Di’Mitr quits the project, while Lena G., a former model, enters it.

Summer, 2006 – Fall 2006
ATLANTICA tours over Belarus, the Baltics, Poland and Azerbaijan.

March, 2007
ATLANTICA releases their second long-play “Urbanoid”. The album becomes a huge commercial success in Belarus. Shortly after the release, ATLANTICA plays sold-out shows in Minsk and other Belarusian cities.

May, 2007
ATLANTICA plays their first unplugged show for MTV.

September, 2007
ATLANTICA receives MTV Belarus Award as “Best English Singing Group”.

Spring, 2008 – Fall, 2008
ATLANTICA’s tour with the biggest cell operator MTS.

September, 2008 – March 2009
Studio recording sessions for the upcoming album

April, 2009
ATLANTICA released their third studio album, “Taboo”.

May, 2009
Ivan Padrez joins ATLANTICA as a back vocalist and guitarist.

Summer, 2009
The song “I Always Sail To Your Shore” enters radio-play charts in Lithuania, Macedonia, Lebanon and Belarus. The video for the song is shot in Minsk, Warsaw and Palanga.

October, 2009
ATLANTICA perform in a fashion show of the most renowned Russian designer Valentin Yudashkin.
